Gospel-Centered Marriages

The Summit's pre-marital counseling ministry.

Gospel-Centered Marriage (GCM)

Creating a Gospel-Centered Marriage (GCM) is the premarital counseling ministry of The Summit Church. The Summit places a great deal of importance on marriage, and we would love to be a part of helping you prepare for yours!

Register

Couples who are married by a Summit pastor are required to complete this program.

To effectively complete our GCM program, you need to register at least six months prior to your wedding. If you have less than six months remaining, we recommend either Bridgehaven or our Graduate Counseling Program for your premarital counseling. More information on these options is available here.

Creating a Gospel-Centered Marriage (GCM) includes:

  1. Creating a Gospel-Centered Marriage (GCM) Seminars
These five seminars led by our Pastor of Counseling, Brad Hambrick, unpack God’s design for growing our appreciation for the gospel through marriage. Topics include foundations, communication, decision-making, finances, and intimacy. View the schedule for live presentations, or access them in video or podcast format online for your convenience.
  2. Mentoring
You will be paired with a mentor couple to meet with during the months leading up to your wedding. This is a great relationship in which to ask questions and assimilate what you’re learning through the Creating a Gospel-Centered Marriage seminars. A mentoring relationship is most effective when the mentors and mentees have an existing relationship, so if you already have a Christian couple you know and trust, and whose marriage you admire, we would love to train them to be your mentors.
